Line-ups and services
Sarabanda is a collective of ten musicians who share one repertoire: the line-up is built around your event, from a voice and piano duo to a quintet with horns, always with the same musical quality.
Duo
Piano with voice, sax or violin
The piano joined by a voice, a sax or a violin. For the civil ceremony, piano and violin is a very frequent choice, on a par with piano and voice. For the aperitivo and the starters, piano and voice or piano and sax give a soft accompaniment that then grows with the reception. Piano and voice also suits the reception of intimate, small weddings and events, or where there is little room for the music.
Trio
Piano and voice with violin, sax or bass
Piano and voice with a third instrument: the violin, the sax or the bass. For the civil ceremony, the trio with the violin is the most requested combination. With the sax or the bass, the trio plays for the aperitivo and the starters, or for the reception when the guests are few, the space is tight or the venue asks for very low volumes.
Quartet
Voice, piano, bass, drums
A complete line-up, and the minimum for a dance set, where the drums are essential. The group's arrangements work best with the full rhythm section, as in the quartet and even more in the quintet, the line-up we recommend for the fullest expression of the group.
Quintet with horns
Quartet with sax or trumpet
The most versatile and complete solution: it gives the group the greatest drive and energy when needed, above all when the dancing breaks loose. Even in moments of pure listening and accompaniment, the soprano sax adds a soft, elegant atmosphere.
Civil ceremony
Civil and symbolic ceremonies
The civil ceremony usually calls for a smaller line-up. We generally offer four: solo piano, piano and voice, piano and violin, and piano, voice and violin. A soprano sax can take the place of the violin, for a line-up just as fitting for the moment, though less usual. For each of them the civil ceremony normally has a repertoire of its own, different from the one for the starters and the reception, with songs chosen for you for the entrance, the exchange of rings and the exit.
Sound system
Sound for the whole event
For the civil ceremony we also offer sound only, with no live music: a simple, low-cost solution for those who just want the moment properly amplified. We provide the sound system and the microphones for the couple and the officiant; the background music is chosen by the couple, and a person at the mixer plays it at the moments set out in the ceremony booklet.

Made to measure
A saxophone, a trumpet, a violin or a guitar on top of voice, piano and bass? It can be done. For the dance set we recommend adding a saxophone to the quartet: it makes the music more energetic and sparkling.
The price depends on the line-up, the length of the performance and the venue: that is why we build the quote with you.
